10 Years Later: A-Rod vs. Varitek
Just take a look back at one of the memorable moments in bitter Yankees-Red Sox rivalry, when Jason Varitek gave A-Rod a face full of mitt.
People still talk about Red Sox and Yankees like it is several highly pitched rivalry, but it is not that exceptional these days or at least not that heated. Back in 2004 it was heated. They met in playoffs in 1999 and 2003, Yankees prevailing both times. Aaron Boone game happened in latter instance. There was a palpable hatred between them.
